What to expect from your treatment
During your acupuncture consultation, I will review your medical history, discuss your health concerns, and explain how acupuncture can address your specific needs. This initial meeting helps to tailor the treatment plan to your individual condition and ensure a personalised approach to your care. You will then lie comfortably on a treatment table, and the practitioner will gently insert thin, sterile needles into specific points on your body. The needles are usually left in place for 20-40 minutes while you relax. You may feel a mild tingling or a sense of warmth at the needle sites, but most people find the experience deeply relaxing. After the session, you might feel a sense of calm and well-being, and some may notice immediate relief from their symptoms, while others may experience gradual improvements over several treatments.
